ELDR Education PBC (“ELDR”, “We”) values our visitor's (“Your”, “You”) privacy and trust and is committed to providing a thorough and understandable Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy applies to all website properties owned and managed by ELDR Education PBC, including the domain, the ELDR marketplace, and any additional properties that ELDR develops (the “ELDR Properties”). 

This Privacy Policy describes ELDR policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your Personal Information when You use ELDR services. We use Your Personal Information to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of Your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. 

Data Collection & Use Within ELDR Properties

While using ELDR Properties, certain personal information may be requested, such as Your name and email address. This information is used to contact You and You may request that Your Personal Information be removed from our servers at any point.

Usage Data is collected automatically when using ELDR properties. “Usage Data” may include data such as Your device’s IP address, browser type, browser version, the ELDR pages that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other data.

When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain data automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

We may also collect data that Your browser sends whenever You visit ELDR properties or when You access ELDR Properties by or through a mobile device.

ELDR properties use Web Cookies to track activity and store certain data. A cookie is a small file placed on Your device. You can instruct Your browser to refuse all Cookies, however, if You do not accept Cookies, You may not be able to use some parts of our Services. 

Personal Information

ELDR may use Personal Information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain ELDR Properties, including to monitor the usage of our ELDR Properties.

  • To manage Your Account: to manage Your registration as a user of ELDR Properties. 

  • For the performance of a contract: the development, compliance and undertaking of the purchase contract for the services You have purchased or of any other contract with Us through any ELDR Property.

  • To contact You: To contact You by email or telephone calls.

  • To manage Your requests: To attend and manage Your requests to ELDR.

  • For business transfers: We may use Your Personal Information to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of ELDR assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which Personal Information held by ELDR about our Service users is among the assets transferred.

  • For other purposes: We may use Your Personal Information for other purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve ELDR products, services, marketing and Your experience.

We may share Your Personal Information in the following situations:

  • With Service Providers: We may share Your Personal Information with Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service, for payment processing, to contact You.

  • For business transfers: We may share or transfer Your Personal Information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of Company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of Our business to another company.

  • With Affiliates: We may share Your Personal Information with Our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy. Affiliates include Our parent company and any other subsidiaries, joint venture partners or other companies that We control or that are under common control with Us.

  • With business partners: We may share Your Personal Information with Our business partners to offer You certain products, services or promotions.

  • With other users: when You share personal information or otherwise interact in the public areas with other users, such information may be viewed by all users and may be publicly distributed outside.

  • With Your consent: We may disclose Your Personal Information for any other purpose with Your consent.

ELDR will retain Your Personal Information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. If ELDR is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Your Personal Information may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Information is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

The security of Your Personal Information is important to Us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While ELDR strives to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Information, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Processing of Your Personal Information

The Service Providers We use may have access to Your Personal Information. These third-party vendors collect, store, use, process and transfer information about Your activity on Our Service in accordance with their Privacy Policies.


We may use third-party Service providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service.

Email Marketing

We may use Your Personal Information to contact You with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to You. You may opt-out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from ELDR by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email We send or by contacting ELDR.


We may provide paid products and/or services within ELDR properties. In that case, we may use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors).

We will not store or collect Your payment card details. That information is provided directly to Our third-party payment processors whose use of Your Personal Information is governed by their Privacy Policy. 

Children's Privacy

ELDR properties and services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Information, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Information from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information from Our servers.

Links to Other Websites

ELDR Properties may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Us. If You click on a third party link, You will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every site You visit. ELDR has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

Retention Periods

We will retain Your Personal Information for as long as your account is active and for a period of time thereafter to allow you to re-activate your account without loss of information. We will also retain your Personal Information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our contracts.

Privacy Information for California Residents

If you are a California resident, California law requires us to provide you with some additional information regarding your rights with respect to your “personal information” (as defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”)).

Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the CCPA allows you to make certain requests about your Personal Information. Specifically, the CCPA allows you to request us to:

Inform you about the categories of personal information we collect or disclose about you; the categories of sources of such information; the business or commercial purpose for collecting your personal information; and the categories of third parties with whom we share/disclose personal information.

Provide access to and/or a copy of certain personal information we hold about you.

Delete certain personal information we have about you.

Provide you with information about the financial incentives that we offer to you, if any.

The CCPA further provides you with the right to not be discriminated against (as provided for in applicable law) for exercising your rights.

Certain information may be exempt from such requests under California law.  For example, we need certain information in order to provide the Services to you. We also will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to a request, which may include, at a minimum, depending on the sensitivity of the information you are requesting and the type of request you are making, verifying your name, email address, and other account information.  You are also permitted to designate an authorized agent to submit certain requests on your behalf. In order for an authorized agent to be verified, you must provide the authorized agent with signed, written permission to make such requests or a power of attorney. We may also follow up with you to verify your identity before processing the authorized agent’s request. California residents may opt out of the “sale” of their Personal Information.  ELDR Education does not “sell” your Personal Information as we understand that term to be defined by the CCPA and its implementing regulations.

At your request, ELDR Education will delete and/or de-identify your Personal Information, and any Personal Information shared with third party service providers and generate a file with all of your information and any information on third-party service providers. California “Shine the Light” Disclosure

The California “Shine the Light” law gives residents of California the right under certain circumstances to opt out of the sharing of certain categories of personal information (as defined in the Shine the Light law) with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.  If you would like to opt out of such sharing, please email us at to opt-out.

ELDR may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.

Name of the register

User register of the ELDR service

Use of personal details (purpose of register)

Personal details are collected to make communication and use of service possible. Details can be used for communication between service providers and users and also for direct communication between users. Some personal details are visible on the profile page of the user, but those details are voluntary (except name).

The handling of personal details is not outsourced, but the register data is stored on a server that is rented from a third party company.

Information content of the register

The following information may be stored in the register:

  • Personal details: Name, email address, phone number, street address
  • Account details: username, password (stored in encrypted format)
  • The description text that the user may write about him/herself
  • The offers and requests the user has posted to the service
  • The given and received feedback and badges
  • Statistical data about service usage, e.g. number times the user has logged in

Regular sources of information

Personal details are given by the user on registration to the service or when using it later.

Regular handovers of the information

The information may be handed over for research purposes as described in the Terms of use that the user accepts before starting to use the service. The researchers may not publish any research results so that identifying information would be revealed or that any specific user could be detected.

Information considering users of a single ELDR community may be handed over to the client who has founded that community or to the community administrators appointed by that client.

Transfers of the information outside the EU and the European Economic Area

Information may be stored to a server that may be located inside or outside of the EU and the European Economic Area

Register protection principles

The information is stored on computers. The access to the information is restricted with passwords and physical access to the computers is restricted by the server hosting company.
